Missouri’s seven-county southwest region is known for its low cost of living and is often associated with manufacturing and distribution facilities. In fact, it is home to both La-Z-Boy and Leggett & Platt facilities. There has recently been an increase in the professional services sector as well, particularly in Joplin, the region’s largest city.
Missouri’s southwest region also boasts an outstanding transportation infrastructure. Located at the crossroads of Interstates 44 and 49, the southwest region provides easy shipping to both U.S. and Canadian markets.
