Events

Hawthorn members meet quarterly to discuss strategic initiatives, network with business leaders from across the state, and hear from the Governor about his economic priorities for Missouri. Meetings are held in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield and Jefferson City.

In addition, members receive first notice of upcoming trade missions, as well as invitation-only events hosted by regional leaders.

The Road Ahead: A new administration with new priorities.

Hawthorn is ready to go to work to support the economic initiatives of a new administration.  What are they?  Where do we start?  We'll hope to have the Governor-Elect at the Annual Meeting to share his thoughts on our growing collaboration.

Lunch at the Governor's Mansion

Hawthorn members were treated to lunch at the People's House on Monday, January 22.  Guests heard from Governor Nixon about upcoming trade missions.  Members also participated in a discussion on why businesses expand, startup, and relocate to Missouri

 


Historic Gathering

On November 20, 2015, all six of Missouri's living Governors came together to discuss economic issues facing the state.  This historic gathering focused on the indispensable role that the Hawthorn Foundation has played in helping these leaders succeed in bringing jobs to Missouri. Learn more about the event here.


September 3rd CEO lunch at the Governor's Conference on Economic Development 

Missouri has 10 companies with corporate headquarters on the Fortune 500 list.  4 of those CEOs joined a panel discussion at Hawthorn's Keynote Luncheon at the Governor's Conference on Economic Development.  Joining the Governor were: Warner Baxter, Ameren, Michael Neidorff, Centene, Mike Downing, Director, DED, Hugh Grant, Monsanto, and James Weddle, Edward Jones.
