Greater Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce

A Hawthorn Foundation member since 2011.

The Greater Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce represents the City of Clinton and Henry County in West Central Missouri. Since 1941, the Chamber has worked to make the Clinton community a better place to work, live and play and currently has over 350 members. The Chamber’s committee’s function in all areas of the community: economic development, agriculture and education, as well as social and recreational opportunities. The Chamber serves its members by providing support to new and existing businesses, as well as workforce development programs.

Missouri’s 13-county west central region is a largely rural area dotted with several micropolitan communities. Sedalia is home to the Missouri State Fair, as well as the State Fair Community College. The University of Central Missouri is located in Warrensburg, and just a few miles east lies Whiteman Airforce Base. Clinton boasts several regional jewels, including the 55,000-acre Truman Lake—named for President Harry Truman, a Missouri-native—and the western-most trailhead for the 225-mile Katy Trail bike path.

Top industries in Missouri’s west central region include agribusiness, manufacturing and transportation and logistics. Major companies like Ditzfield Transfer, Schrieber Foods and 3M enjoy great transportation assets and low business costs.
