The St. Charles Economic Development professionals work with industries looking to expand and/or relocate and also serve startup companies. Along with their partners, the Economic Development team provides the most comprehensive assistance to help any business. Through their network of contacts, they are able to leverage resources to assist companies invest to add value and employees.
St. Charles City has experienced significant growth in the last five years. Since 2008, the City has witnessed over $560 Million of new development. The Economic Development Department has participated in impactful projects like Patterson Mold and Tool, LMI Aerospace, and Mercy Medical's newest health care clinic.
Although the city of St. Louis covers just 65 square miles, the four-county metro region is the largest in population in the state of Missouri. St. Louis provides a colorful backdrop for leading companies in plant science, IT, advanced manufacturing and financial services. Nationally ranked hospitals, universities and research centers make the S.t Louis region a magnet for talent in the biosciences and keep the area on the leading edge of advancements in human health.
St. Louis is also home to fine art and history museums and a 90-acre zoo, all free and all located in the city’s treasured Forest Park. Professional sports teams, a world-class symphony and live equity theater round out the picture for those living and working the area.
